Ryan Gauthier has been mentioned 3 times on this list and I think it would be good to add him. The kid is really good from what i've seen. He has good height and can play the 1, 2 or 3. He carried Nashua North's J.V team to a win with over Londonderry. With the game winning shoot and 17 points to go with that.

Javon Williams has a amazing offensive game but does'nt quite prove it on the defensive side of the ball. This kid is going to be great but he needs to stop lacking on D.

Cooper Paul and Joe McCarthy Should be added to the list for B.G. Joe McCarthy is a really good one on one player and has great size. He can take kids of the dribble or pull up that's how his size works out to his advantage.

Don't get me wrong Anthony Muccioli is a good player and he's starting to pass a little more but i don't see this kid being this high on the list he is a good player taking it to the basket but that's all i see.

You should consider these players and make a top 10.

After watching/scouting the Londonderry vs. Nashua North JV game. I was impressed with Ryan Gauthier's game and skills. As stated in the comment by "Report On Good Players" he definately can play the 1, 2 or 3 position. Nevertheless, I see him as a true point guard who can see the floor very well,(a natural) if only those who direct him can recognize his talent. I wound place him in the top five.

Why did'nt this kid (Ryan Gauthier) make Varsity he has the skills to play varsity and be a factor. I agree what everyone is saying, he has been popping up alot. I like the way this kid plays. He can play both sides of the ball very well for Nashua North's team. As i watch Javon Williams this kid does whatever he wants. Whats the deal with North???

make a top ten or twenty please. having a top five is dumb

Philbrick #4 - how can that be - freshmen jv's from Pelham and Souhegan should be rated above him. How did Philbrick do against those two teams?

  • At 4:26 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Mike Thorpe plays zero defense, has poor handles, way to many turnovers, is one of the most selfish players i have ever seen, not a tgeam player, has excellent speed, nice shot, smooth moves, raw needs to learn the game, also he has James Holler running the point,JR, nhiaa top 20 PLAYERS IN THE STATE 2009.top 3 defensive guards in the state, true point not pig like thorpe, Alex Blomeke, 6'6" center, bad year but still a contributor, Mike thorpe got carried did not carry, shots about 20% if you took thirty shots a night you would have 12 points tooo. didnt have much around, THORPE OVERRATED, A TON OF UPSIDE NEEDS GROOMING, WONT GET IT WITH HOLMES, If it wasnt for there staunch defense that Holler, Vigars, Blomeke, Driscoll play they wouldnt have won five games.Thorpe needs to grow up and stop looking in the mirror.

Javon Williams and the rest of the Nashua North fan club (way too many on these lists) are not good, need to look at rest of players in state...NORTH IS HORRIBLE ALL THE WAY AROUND, WITH ALL THESE RANKED PLAYERS THEY SHOULD WIN THE STATE. oh ya did not make playoffs, go north

  • At 2:34 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Why isn't there as much effort rating the 2012 class vs the others?

  • At 1:15 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Cooper Paul is a great player, top shooter

  • At 1:45 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Why isn't there as much effort rating the 2012 class vs the others?

because the sophmore class have a lot of players who not only play varsity but are major contributors and starters on them.

  • At 7:37 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

The person that said pelhams freshman on jv how did philbrick do against them how did the pelham kids do against souhegan I believe it was a 40 point win by the sabers... and the funny thing is 3 out of the top 4 players on souhegan are freshman the pelham kids are ok but the souhegan jv team was probably the best JV team this state may ever see 18-0 an average margin of victory by up near 40 points i think how can anyone compare to that?

    Gilligan and nelsen=underated

  • At 8:49 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

This is an extremely weak grade. Only 3 players getting any significant playing time on Varsity teams (Williams, Thorpe, Muccioli).

In past grades there have been much more such as 2009 Bayliss, Hojlo, Feehan, Ramos, Mulvey, Tsougranis all played roles on their Varsity teams as Freshman.

In 2011 McClung, Spirou, Madol, Morgan, O'Loughlin, Colby, O'Connor did as well.

  • At 10:11 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

jovi philbrick got a decent amount of time on varsity as a swinger this year he isn't going to have a major role till he's a senior due to depth in front of him but he's very good

  • At 11:22 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Maybe with all these kids playing for 3 years - there is no room to bring up any freshman????

  • At 4:38 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I think the kid from sohegan got some varsity minutes

  • At 5:50 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I guess we'll have to wait and see next year - that fabulous class from 2011 should be able to man handle those players from 2012 that will be playing varsity next year - I think I'll save the above message.

  • At 4:08 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

    put more kids up here

  • At 7:05 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I guess there's no interest in this class, must be whomever does the rankings only has an interest in players that are sophomores and above. This blog will be done in 2 years.

  • At 7:26 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Class of 2012 is weak. No, on second thought:

Class of 2012 is extremely weak.

  • At 7:34 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Class of 2013 will be much better. 3 probably starters on there high school team next year in Kaleb, Travis, and Dimitri.

  • At 7:41 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

What high schools? Same one or 3 different high schools?

  • At 7:53 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Mark P? he should be on here. I mean considering where he's from he's pretty good..

  • At 7:58 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I agree with that. I was a coach at the NH adidas phenom camp and I over heard his conversation with the assistant coach Jerry Lafond. Jerry guarenteed him not only a spot on the team but a starting spot and the star player role. Look at for him and his play this AAU season for the NH Heat. And by the way, NH Heat is an adidas sponsored team. So i'm predicted them to be between top 5 and top 10 in the nation. That's the team to watch out for..

  • At 7:00 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

What is so great about this Adidas Camp???? I have heard these comments before and just because you play on an AAU team does not mean you are great! If you watched the high school basketball on ESPN - these kids are no where even close to having the talent that was shown on TV. As for Top 5 - keep dreaming!!!! Alot of the great players never even play on AAU....

  • At 7:54 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Gillagan averaged 16.7 points on the jv team playing an average of 14 minutes per game.....how can he not be on here

  • At 8:39 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Cuz he only played 14 minutes a game.

  • At 1:05 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Cuz Gilligan went on a 3 hour tour.

  • At 1:19 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

rating freshmen is tough. Souhegan had a great JV team (though they did lose a game) but it does not mean anything in terms of them having great individual players.

  • At 4:39 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Honestly I couldn't care less if i get recognized for a top 5 spot on any list, basketball is a team sport... and i only played 14 minutes a game because there were a lot of great players on my team. I would rather play a role on a great team then play the whole game and score 40 points for a team like hollis or milford and win maybe 4 games a season. I know that i feel alot better after a game after scoring maybe 5 points and winning by 40 then if i score 40 points and lose by 40.

    Basketball=team sport......

  • At 4:42 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

oooh why the Milford Hollis disss

    they are good teams

  • At 5:09 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

It's scary when kids know how many points they averaged for JV teams. I have no idea who gilligan is? what Jv team he played for? Where is this kid? Why is it so much better than Hollis or Milford.

  • At 5:21 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Whoever wrote the comment about Gilligan averaging 16.7 points per game how did you know that are you his coach.

Not trying to start anything here Devin is a great player and kid just wondering if those facts are 100% correct.

JUST A LITTLE CURRIOUS HOW WOULD THEY GO 18-0 IF THEY HAD TO PLAY THE EIGHT SOPHMORES FROM MILFORD THE SENIOR TEAM FROM AMHERST COULDNT EVEN BEAT THEM FINAL SCORE IF THE MILFORD SOPHS PLAYED JV THIS YEAR WOULD BE 154-12 THE END.

Once again this website is back to being out of control. As for the last comment - get a life because obviously you are kid that has no class. That is the problem with basketball - alot of these kids have great skill but they lack class!! The minute they open their mouths it shows they are just losers!!

  • At 11:46 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

you people have no life arguing about this kids just play to play not to be ranked as a FRESHMAN! they worry about being ranked and scouted later so this is a terrible i dea making this list having kids get upset they arn't on the list when they think they are good...shame on all of you commenting and the person who made this

The Warriors team from Amherst played pretty tough game in the finals of the fastbreak tournament - they played a selected team with a number of Nashua players and only lost by 3 or 4. They're a player shy of being a threat though. Pretty tough kids.

I love how this whole list talks about the outer schools and none in Manchester. Im not starting anything but u gotta think about it. I bet half of the list (if we had 10) would be kids from manchester. It is just commmon sense. Trinity JV yeam was tied with Keene as 1st. So whats going on here....

  • At 9:27 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

the back court for the amherst warriorz is easily the best in the state with gilligan and nelson runnin the show they are a very competitive team and can play with anyone in the state..... in a few weeks they will get Jeff Gianelli from Merrimack who is 65 270 and is an incredible force downlow with jeff they will be the best team in the state

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, That started from this tropic port, aboard this tiny ship. The mate was a mighty sailin' man, the Skipper brave and sure. Five passengers set sail that day for a three hour tour. A three hour tour.

The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed. If not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Minnow would be lost. The Minnow would be lost. The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle, here on Gilligan's Isle.

  • At 5:50 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

The best players I've seen in this class Thorpe, Onett (played in an AAU tournament this week), Williams, Gilligan, Mitchell, Gendron, Descarae.

  • At 8:52 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

What's the point of saying that someone played in an AAU tourney this week? Does that validate the player? If it was so meaningful, where did they play? Against who? Team success? Player achievement? And who typically knows this info that would add this comment other than the parent? He's either a player or not. That he played in an AAU tournament is meaningless.

  • At 6:28 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

no he goes to dematha and was back this weekend

  • At 5:05 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

    Unbiased opinion....

There are really three players that stand out over the rest in this class Thorpe Williams and Gilligan....

Also DesCarae Mitchel and Lacount are very good players

Thorpe- Great point guard really controls the game needs to work on handle but is a great player

Williams-Great scorer and shooter has respectable handle but needs to work on defense

Gilligan-Great scorer, passer and rebounder(especially offensive) needs to work on speed and has a little bit of an attitude problem

Descarae- Is a very good all around player wont really wow you with anything but gets the job done

Mitchell-Great athlete needs to work on postmoves but is a great rebounder and defender

Lacount-Great handle and impresive outside shot but doesnt play any defense at all maybe the most skilled player in the class but has a serious attitude problem(not a type of kid i would want on my team)

  • At 5:29 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Gilligan is nowhere close to being in the top 3 in the state. There are so many better players

  • At 5:38 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Yeah, but Gilligan is off on an island with Ginger and Mary Anne. Who cares if he isn't one of the better players. Mary Anne and Ginger are toasting his coconuts right now.

I agree with that entire group above and the comments - how about the Gendron kid from Merrimack and there's a lefthanded kid who goes to hoop hard from Amherst.

  • At 6:02 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

and there's a right handed kid who goes to hoop hard from Manchester. Please consider putting this kid on the list.

Why doesn't Amherst and Milford just make up the top 20 list! The way you talk this Gilligan kid must be scoring close to 30 - 40 points a game and ready for the NBA....

I haven't seen a comment about a Milford kid - who are all these players you're refering to?

  • At 5:47 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Thorpe is average, lazy point guard, much better suited for the 2, plays no defense, avg to poor handles, way to many turnovers and shot a mere 28% for season as well as 23% from the 3 point side, Great i think not, overrated definetely, team player no, upside tremendous, speed excellent, penetration ability above avg, smart NO. A player with alot of abilities that needs to train hard and mature alot. Will be a major bust if does not improve on weakness's. Thats the problem with N.H. As a whole you see a black athlete (still rare in NH) that has some skill and a ton of POTENTIAL and you think he's michael jordan and you call him great. PLEASE go back to milking your goats and stop trying to pretend any of you FARM BOYS have a clue about basketball and/or talent.on another note...please look up the word Great, this boy (because of all of you) embarasses the word great, but then again all you farm boy's shoveling manure and milking goats probably think cow patties "is whats for dinner".Mike Thorpe is a good basketball player with a ton of upside, I hope he reaches his potential to the fullest, do not believe he will do that:here's why: 1. @ Exeter 2.Holmes 3. Hazeleton 4. Lazy 5. immature 6.Big Head 7. Selfish 8.New Hampshire 9.does not get it 10.brains, all are correctable or managable or trained. we will wait and see.. good luck Mike wish you tremendous success and truly hope i get to watch a "great" player in the future..................

Why is this Gilligan kid given so much attention?? He trash talks through the whole game. This just tells me he needs that to make himself feel better. If he was in the top 10 he would not have to talk crap!! What happened to having sportsmanship or class. I watched him play and many other freshman - he and Philbrick are not Top 10 nor does Amherst have the best point guards in the state...The Amherst team has been playing together for over a year. They should be good. Secondly, Gilligan is a ball hog and a me player. It seems to be that basketball has turned a corner where anything goes - AAU Basketball is a joke! The referees are awful and its all about money! If this how the website is coming up with the top nh basketball players its wrong. There are lot better kids not playing AAU!! Just because you play AAU Basketball does not mean you are great -

    2) Dylan is a brainless lttle imp.

dumb asses javon williams is not on trinity and he wasnt on the bench. it was timi laniyan, a jv player that was told he could dress for varsity but then found out he couldnt because he wasnt on the official roster, and if he did trinity could forfit. But the coach let him ride iwth the team and sit on the bench.

okay one day central and trinity were playing so i decided to go watch the game. it was the only game trinity had actually lost. but i was also there for the JV game. And for some reason, i could not tell you why, a joke of a point guard dylan lafond started the game. I've never seen more turn overs, bad shots, and lazy defense in my life as a commentator. Also, Logan Kesty. Probably the only kid i've seen average more shots per game than points per game. like yes he may average around 10 points a game, but thats not hard when your taking around 20-25 shots and they are all either contested or bad looks. This is a true ball hog. I expect him to only get real minutes on JV. he does not have the mentality to play varsity basketball. No wonder this kid plays on NH heat, because its all a bunch of fathers coaching and not real coaches. Which is why these kids will be nothing as ball players later in there days and will go no where. And i also heard a rumor dylan isnt playing anymore. If true, thats the best thing that could have happened to them. Maybe theyll win some games and have less bad possesions a game. But thats just me. The class of 2012 at trinity high school, is the most overrated class. The true player of the class is Hunter Viscarello. Player to watch, But kevin you are a good scout if you keep those two garbage players off here as in Dylan and Logan. Keep up the good work.

    - Coach Coop

  • At 6:02 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

the comment above wasnt the coach cooper you guys are thinking of,i am almost positive it was a coach from an aau team up north.i talked to him at the game.his first name is cooper not last.he knows whos bad in this class.

  • At 6:17 PM , Anonymous Mr Hamel said...

Its about time Dylan isnt on this team anymore. With dylan and logan it is very hard for everybody else to contribute, especially when every kid on the team is better than those two except for luis burley. they would only play because the head coach is dylans cousin and assistant is his father. And since logan is one of dylans better and only friends, he automatically gets that spot. he plays for heat like he plays for JV, like garbage and a ball hog. When dylan plays, we max out on turn overs. Maybe once he gets a hair cut he'll look like some what of a ball player, but until he stops shooting (because nothing he shoots goes in), stops turning it over, gets rid of the "im all that" attitude, and gets that hair cut, and some talent, he will never be a ball player. Logan, needs to stop thinking hes black and having the same attitude as Mr. Lafond. You arent as talented as you think Mr. Kesty, you really arent talented at all. You either lower your shoulders and try to throw up a crazy shot at the basket or you shoot a contested 3. These 2 have a lot of work, and will more than likely never accomplish anything. they are garbage and always will be. Trust me on this one.

  • At 6:17 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

you cant depend on that lafond kid for he makes awful decisions. and the worst thing about it is i hear they have 4 talented point guards playing behind this kid. but of course this kid isnt coming out of the game thanks to his father.

  • At 6:20 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

the only way this damn kid is comin out of the game is if his ancestors dont coach the damn team

  • At 6:23 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

the amherst team is playing the rivals this weekend we will really see if there as tuff as theese bloggers say.....

Just my opinion but i expect a blowout in the rivals favor!

  • At 3:03 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

amherst team is gonna kick the rivals ass into the month of may. rivals suck. amherst by 10 to 15 points.

  • At 6:26 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Amherst has some good players but there all from a small town - how are they going to beat an all star team from different areas of new hampshire. I'd say rivals by 10 - 15 - if i was from amhesrt you should be happy to stay that close. but good for you for putting a competitive team on the floor with kids just from your town. rivals if you dont beat them by at least 15 points you should be embarased.

  • At 6:29 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

There's a milford team with some hard nosed players all from their town, again to all you all-star teams, if you dont beat them by 20+ hang up playing basketball.

  • At 6:40 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Amherst should keep quiet... Javon Williams will eat Gilligan alive!! And if he doesn't Anthony Musciolli will... Actually there will only be table scraps for Anthony. The Rivals have some of the top if not top kids in NH on the team. These guys live for basketball. The top kids don't brag about themselves the way Amherst does... I guess that is what Amherst brings to the court - I know Gilligan does - talk with your game not your mouth. Amherst show some class..... oops thats right you are from a small town....

  • At 5:16 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

gilligan is the man. hes gonna kick jayvons ass on the court. amherst will run away with the game and rivals will eat sheite.

  • At 7:28 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

the rivals have a lot of talent but they are all individual all-stars from different towns trying to play on the same team. imagine putting 12 gilligans on the same team.

  • At 7:31 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

dont worry we will play with class. you shouldnt blame a whole town for one anonymous joker commenting on a god damn blog.

javon williams is not on the rival's roster.

  • At 1:26 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

7:34am Javon is on the Rivals roster but he is on the Elite Team that travels all over. Amherst has been bragging since Middle School - how great they are! You are not the greatest and have been beaten several times by other teams. They are good but they have been playing together for a long time. The team should be good! Some of these AAU teams have only a few practices before they started to play and there are lot of kids that have not played together before. The other factor there are kids playing two sports. As for Amherst, there are probably some good kids on the team but unfortunately you only hear about Gilligan who never shuts up on the court and I would be embarrassed letting my kid talk like that.

  • At 1:37 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

8:00am From your comment I guess I don't have to say much more...

no one from amherst is writing these retarded comments believe me

  • At 7:05 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I saw Amherst playtoday. they are a very good team who is one player short of being great. gilligan is very good and scored alot. however they lack depth but make up for it with heart.

  • At 1:49 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

The Rivals beat the warriors by 10, I agree with the comment above about them not having many basketball players, more of athletes, with the exceptions of Gilligan who was a lot stronger then the rivals players scoring at will and the lefty #3 who played a smart game not forcing shots making good passes and scoring when there was a chance. They played tough but they didn't have enough fire power to beat an all around team like the rivals.

The rivals looked impressive on offense distributing the ball well, and taking good shots. They also ran the break well scoring many fast break points. An all around team.

  • At 2:43 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Gilligan had over 30 points and the lefty Jack Nelson had 20. I agree they didnt have quite enough firepower but I heard they might have another big guy playing with them for states.

  • At 2:51 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

the rivals have a lot of good guards but theyre bigs arent as strong

  • At 3:13 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

It is Friday at 5:55pm, you guys need to clean up this site. It is great to share your opinions with each other (which you should), but use alittle more education on the vocabulary.... I read several of the comments and yes Thorpe is over-rated but still a good player. As far as AAU Williams, LaCount and Thorpe are all on the Mass Rivals Elite travel team with a half dozen other good players from MA. They are playing in Durham this weekend for States so if you want to judge them then see what happens this weekend. Two weekends ago they played in Providence, RI. they didn't win it all but did very well. The last game Williams and Thorpe had about 8 points while Lacount scored 24 and leads the team in blocked shots (yes he does play defense). Good luck to all you wanta bees, while your reading this I'll be doing your girl friend!!!!!

Yes, 3:06 I do agree that people need to be more educated, and you are one of them..your making your self sound very uneducated.

Who won Division 1 in states for U15 - heard rumors it was Rivals which would be no surprise (they have the best all around team). Also heard upsets all over the place.
